Dr. Kromhout has been performing Novasure endometrial ablations for more than four years. He trained to use the device in Phoenix, AZ where many of the initial trials for FDA approval were first performed. He was instrumental in bringing this technology to San Luis Obispo where it is now favored by most gynecologists in the community. Endometrial ablation is a simple, safe procedure that removes the lining of the uterus to reduce or eliminate bleeding. This five minute procedure can be performed in the office, or in the operating room to suit the patient’s desires.

Dr. Kromhout has been performing advanced laparoscopic surgery for over eight years, including total and supracervical laparoscopic hysterectomies. These minimally invasive procedures allow the patient to undergo a major surgery through small 5-10mm incisions and go home the same or next day, with a return to work in one to two weeks instead of the traditional 4-6 weeks associated with a larger open abdominal incision.
